How to get here

Take a taxi or bus from Cancun to the town of Chiquila, about 2 hours away. You can also drive, as highways are safe.

There’s a boat that traverses continuously between the island and Chiquila, and there’s always the option of renting a water taxi. It takes about 20 minutes to cover the 9 miles of Yalahu lagoon.

There’s also a small landing strip framed by seashells, which can receive small planes. A private trip can be hired to fly over Holbox’s stunning white beaches.
